Urban Comm. Hold “Election” to Decide Fate of Niggaspace.com

In the latest chapter of the NiggaSpace saga, Urban Communications has announced a “Keep or Kill NiggaSpace 2008″ online “election” to determine the fate of their recently acquired NiggaSpace.com. Riding off the momentum and excitement surrounding the presidential election the “Keep or Kill NiggaSpace 2008″ election will be held via online-ballot located at NiggaSpace.com or KeeporKill08.com. According to the press release, once 2,000,000 votes are cast, Urban Communications will honor the wishes of the majority.

“African Americans love or hate NiggaSpace.com, there’s no middle ground,” said Robert Butler, Marketing Director. “Collectively we thought that a democratic election by internet users should determine whether niggaspace.com is abolished or whether it will survive to upload again.”

When we first announced that the otherwise reputable company, Urban Communications had purchased the defunct website earlier this month we immediately speculated that the acquisition was a marketing/ business move. Urban Communications was looking to benefit from the still very high residual traffic of a now defunct controversial site. I’m not mad at that. In very soon after the story was published a visitor known simply as “Rob” tipped us off that the purchase was made with the plan of hosting this “election.” Rob is of course the aforementioned Robert Butler, Director of Marketing for Niggaspace/ Ourspace. This is just further proof that in a society that celebrates capitolism there’s never a need to disguise such motivation. Lets see how they do…I’ll keep you posted. 2 Million votes translates into a whole lot of traffic and hence revenue.
