The once-neglected Tomato, Potato and Henry hope to find a new home together, with the help of the Oregon Humane Society.

The three animals -- pot-bellied pig siblings Tomato and Potato, and their buddy, Henry, the duck -- were among nearly two dozen animals seized from a property in Molalla last December.

"Pigs and ducks are not usually offered for adoption by OHS, but in this instance they were victims of neglect and we could not overlook that fact," said OHS Executive Director Sharon Harmon.

Three calves, four horses, three pigs, two rabbits, one duck, one dog and seven kittens were seized from December 16 from a home in the 34000-block of South Dickey Prairie Road in Molalla. Several of the animals subsequently died or were euthanized because of their grave medical condition, Harmon said.

The animals' former owner, 27-year-old Ora Mitchell, was convicted last week in Clackamas County on several counts of animal neglect and sentenced to five days in jail, two years probation and 80 hours community service. And he is prohibited from owning domestic animals for five years.

Also available for adoption this week: Lucky, the thoroughbred bay gelding, and Granny, a 20-year-old Belgian mare. The two remaining horses, a dog, two cats and three rabbits will be placed up for adoption later this month. For more details, visit the Humane Society here.
