doug funny The much-hyped '80s episode of Gossip Girl (which could end up as its own spin-off series once The CW announces its fall slate on May 21) just aired and — no big surprise here — I enjoyed it. SPOILERS AFTER THE JUMP.

Occasionally, the back and forth felt a little forced, and I still don't believe that adult Lily would ever have her daughter thrown in jail but whatever. In terms of just the flashback stuff, I thought it was a blast. Brittany Snow was absolutely perfect. I love a good fashion montage and this one, set to "Dancing With Myself," did not disappoint. Plus the supporting cast, especially Krysten Ritter, was likable and cute. Those are qualities that I admire in television casts as well as puppies. In summary, I would totally watch a Brittany Snow-fronted Gossip Girl spin-off.
