May 6, 2009 — Tom Bergeron, who hosts “Dancing With the Stars” (7 p.m. Mondays and 8 p.m. Tuesdays on ABC), turns 54 today.
He also hosts and is a co-executive producer for “America’s Funniest Home Videos” (6 p.m. Sundays on ABC).
His first TV role was as host for the 1980 TV show “People Are Talking.” He was 25.

For the first time in its 33-year history The Daytime Emmy Awards, honoring everything from soap operas to talk shows to kids programs, will be handed out at the Kodak Theatre, in the Hollywood area of Los Angeles, on April 28. Bergeron and Kelly Monaco will host the show.
